Sam brings to the United Way Board his passion for and vast community service experience, as well as his diverse work experience.
During his 40-year professional career, he worked in information technology. Sam’s
focus was on enterprise-wide software and data network implementations. He worked extensively in healthcare, education, government, and across the for-profit space. As Sam puts it, he did just about everything during technical rollouts except write the code!
Although he adds he learned about everything one needs to know about effectively
working with diverse and energetic groups when he was a middle level math and
science teacher!
When not performing community service, Sam still teaches skiing at Smugglers Notch, and enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, and travel adventures with his spouse Anita. He also enjoys spending time with his two adult sons and their significant others who live and work in Lamoille County.
