How To Help

Volunteer

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity, a faith based international organization, builds homes using volunteer labor for qualified adults/families who can demonstrate the ability to pay back an affordable mortgage to the local chapter and who can put in a specific number of sweat equity hours toward building the house.  The local Habitat chapters also must raise all the money needed to purchase land, building supplies, and sometimes pay licensed trades people.

Habitat is currently building a home on Maple Street in Morrisville. Volunteers are needed Tuesdays and Saturdays, 9:30 am - 3:00 pm. Volunteers can sign up individually or in groups. No experience is required, training available.  Volunteers to donate lunch for volunteers are also appreciated.

For more information or to sign up, contact Judy Bickford at bickford@vtlink.net or 802-888-6918.
