UWLC is proud to be in the company of 47 firewood banks across the United States! 47 wood banks received grants from the Alliance for Green Heat and the U.S. Forest to support access to wood heat for individuals struggling to pay for home heating. UWLC received $12,721 to purchase a wood splitter, trailer, storage shed and safety equipment. 

Thank you to our 155 volunteers who offered over 600 hours of service in 2022 and to the Vermont Department of Children and Families and the VT Department of Forest, Parks and Recreation!
