Good morning, On 12/11/25 there are 28 households who are at risk of becoming homeless, and 43 households are literally homeless in Lamoille County. In total, there are 100 adults and 46 children who are at risk of or are currently experiencing literal homelessness in Lamoille County.

Parenting Resources

Mom & Baby Support: Lamoille Home Health and Hospice offers specialized  maternal and child health services. On staff nurse can provide - 

“How Do I Prevent My Teen from Misusing Substances?”: simple, practical strategies for parents to help their kids make healthy choices, from safe storage to setting clear expectations and modeling positive behaviors.
 

Talk They Hear You – App: 

  • "Talk, They Hear You" campaign provides fact sheets and resources to help parents and caregivers start these important conversations with the youth in their lives. 
  • Explore the 5 Conversation Goals for discussing alcohol and other drugs with kids


 

Education Opportunities

Fundraising & Development Certificate Program with Common Good Vermont: designed for nonprofit leaders, development staff members, and key volunteers who are working to raise funds for organizations in Vermont or New England. 

 

Free Weatherization training: 

  • 2/25/26–3/13/26, 9am-4pm
  • VIEW Center – 41 Bailey Street Barre VT
  • OSHA-10 and First Aid/CPR certification
  • Tool training and hands-on skills practice
  • Support for both English Language Learners (ELL) and native English speakers
  • $300 per week for attending all classes; additional $500 bonus for remaining employed with an employer for 60+ days after completing the program
  • Lunch provided on training days, transportation and childcare assistance arranged individually
  • Registration Deadline: February 6
