Good morning, 

On 11/13/25 there are 28 households who are at risk of becoming homeless and 48 households are literally homeless in Lamoille County. In total, there are 108 adults and 50 children who are at risk of or are currently experiencing literal homelessness in Lamoille County. 

 

Sharing Priority

Lamoille Family Center Holiday Project: 

  • Families with kids ages 0-12 living in Lamoille County who would like assistance with holiday gifts for their children can self-register for the Holiday Project through the Lamoille Family Center
    • Deadline to register: November 28
    • LFC will call families to schedule a shopping time 
    • Shopping Days: December 9-12 at the Hyde Park VFW
  • Donations: consider shopping local and donating a toy to any of our 60+ donation locations listed on our website or bring toys to LFC by 12/5

Morrisville Centennial Library December Special Programs:

Adults

  • “Gone Guys” Screening- 12/4, 6-8pm - Award winning documentary illuminating the challenges facing boys and young men through powerful data and compelling personal stories. At the Peoples Academy auditorium.
  • Herbalism Workshop: Winter Plant Medicine - 12/6, 11am - Join community herbalist Erin Narey for a hands-on herbalism workshop about traditional uses for local winter plants and common kitchen herbs while enjoying samples of tree medicine, herbal syrup, and cold/flu season allies you already have in your spice cabinet. Sign-up required, limited spots available.
  • Puzzle Competition - 12/20, 11am - Teams will race to complete a 500 piece puzzle for a chance to win a $25 gift card to Lost Nation Brewery. Teams of 2-4 are preferred. Register your team at ccarver@centenniallibrary.org.

Youth

  • Holiday Gift Making- Tuesdays in December, 3:30pm - A chance to make a personalized gift for friends and family. For grades kindergarten and older.
  • VEEP STEM Program - 12/11, 3:30pm - The Vermont Energy Education Program (VEEP) will bring hands-on STEM equipment so students can explore how we can make energy from the sun and wind, learn about electricity and circuits. Sign-up required.
  • Golden Dome Book Club - 12/19, 1pm

Tweens & Teens

  • Get Your Stuff Together - Tuesdays, 3pm - Help teens navigate social pressures around substance use, discuss recovery and identify harm reduction techniques. Email liza.ryan@ncvrc.com to register.

For All Ages

  • St. Norbert’s Handbell Choir - 12/13, 12:30pm
  • Light up the Library - 12/16, 5pm - Join the students from MES performing on the front steps, while the SD Ireland Light Up holiday truck brings cheer to the library!
