Good morning, 

On 10/16/25 there are 36 households who are at risk of becoming homeless and 50 households are literally homeless in Lamoille County. In total, there are126 adults and 66 children who are at risk of or are currently experiencing literal homelessness in Lamoille County.  
 

Sharing Priority

Medicare Open Enrollment: October 15 - December 7 - Residents in Central Vermont Council on Aging’s service area, can drop-in to meet face-to-face for a plan comparison.

  • You must bring your red, white, and blue Medicare card and your prescription medications

    • Online - Click Log In and create an account. Enter your medications and the pharmacy you use. Find and compare Part D or Part C plans. Click Enroll for the plan you choose.

Helping Children Develop Healthy Sleep Patterns: free parenting workshop

  • This presentation will review the facts about the importance of sleep and how to help children establish and maintain healthy sleep habits!

Wheels for Warmth: Help provide emergency heating assistance to Vermonters this winter!

  • Recycle or donate tires on Thursday, 10/23, and Friday, 10/24: fee for unusable tires $5 or $10 for larger truck/ equipment tires (over 22")

  • Role oversees staff and organizational development while guiding policy, advocacy, fundraising, and communications to meet constituent needs
  • Full-time, hybrid schedule
  • Hiring salary is budgeted in the $85,000-$95,000 range, depending on experience
